A Math & E Math Teacher

Purpose of the Position

The Math & E Math Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality Mathematics lessons that inspire students to achieve academic excellence. The teacher will foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a positive learning environment while supporting students' academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Mathematics and Extended Mathematics (E Math) lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and educational technology to enhance learning outcomes.

Assessment & Student Progress

• Design and administer assessments, assignments, and examinations.
• Monitor, evaluate, and record students' academic progress.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Identify students requiring additional academic support and implement intervention strategies.

Classroom Management

• Maintain a safe, respectful, and disciplined classroom environment.
• Establish clear classroom expectations and encourage positive student behavior.
• Promote student engagement and active participation during lessons.

Curriculum & Professional Development

• Participate in curriculum planning, moderation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay updated with current educational practices and curriculum developments.
• Attend professional development programs and school training sessions.

Communication & Collaboration

• Maintain effective communication with parents regarding students' academic progress and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with colleagues, coordinators, and school leadership to support student success.
• Participate actively in departmental meetings, school events, and extracurricular activities.

Other Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans, teaching resources, and required documentation.
• Supervise students during assigned duties and school activities.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Head of Department or School Management.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
• Teaching qualification is preferred.
• Cambridge IGCSE / International curriculum experience is an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Mathematics or Extended Mathematics.
• Experience teaching secondary or IGCSE Mathematics is preferred.
• Experience in an international school environment is an advantage.
