The IT Operations Officer is responsible for ensuring the smooth daily functioning of school IT systems,

coordinating IT procurement, providing end-user support, and maintaining accurate operational documentation. This role

bridges administrative tasks with technical system support, specifically focusing on day-to-day help desk tasks and Student

Management System (SMS) maintenance.


Principle Responsibilities

System Support & Monitoring

• Monitor daily system status, network operations, and scheduled IT tasks to ensure continuity.

• Provide dedicated daily support for the Student Management System (SMS), troubleshooting user issues and ensuring data integrity.

• Follow up with teachers and staff to ensure proper and efficient usage of school systems.

• Maintain, track, and resolve IT support tickets and issue logs in a timely manner.

End-User Support & Administrative Duties

• Provide first-line technical support to staff for hardware, software, and connectivity inquiries.

• Support users with general inquiries regarding Microsoft Office 365 for Education (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Handle routine administrative tasks, including data entry, printing, and copying documents as required.

Documentation & Procurement

• Prepare, update, and maintain comprehensive documentation related to IT operations, policies, and projects.

​o Coordinate and manage the procurement process for IT accessories and

equipment.

Required qualifications/experience: related field

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience: 2+ years of experience with IT support, data entry, document management, or an administrative IT role.

• Technical Skills:

​o Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 for Education.

​o Good understanding of basic IT hardware, accessories, and troubleshooting.

​o Ability to learn and support internal databases and software quickly.

• Core Competencies:

​o Strong problem-solving skills to analyze and identify the root cause of technical issues and provide reliable

solutions.

​o Strong communication and customer service skills to effectively collaborate with teachers and administrative

staff.

​o Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with strong attention to detail.
