Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. School Leadership & Strategic Support
- Support the Head of School in implementing the school’s vision, mission, policies, and strategic goals.
- Provide leadership and guidance to academic teams to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
- Contribute to school improvement plans and support continuous development initiatives.
2. Academic Leadership & Quality Assurance
- Monitor teaching and learning standards across departments.
- Support curriculum development, assessment practices, and academic improvement plans.
- Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to teachers.
- Promote a culture of professional growth and continuous learning among staff.
3. Staff Management & Development
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, and professional development of teaching staff.
- Provide coaching and guidance to coordinators and teachers.
- Support performance management processes and ensure accountability within academic teams.
4. Student Welfare & Discipline
- Ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Support student behavior management and pastoral care systems.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and relevant teams to address student-related matters.
5. Parent & Community Engagement
- Maintain strong relationships with parents and stakeholders.
- Support effective communication between the school, families, and wider community.
- Represent the school at meetings, events, and external activities when required.
6. Operations & School Management
- Collaborate with Admissions, Operations, HR, and other departments to ensure smooth school operations.
- Support the planning and execution of school events, activities, and initiatives.
- Handle operational matters and additional responsibilities assigned by the Head of School.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; Master’s degree or educational leadership qualification is preferred.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in an international school or educational environment.
- Proven experience in a leadership role such as Head of Department, Academic Coordinator, Assistant Head, or similar position.
- Strong understanding of curriculum, assessment, and teaching methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to mentor, motivate, and manage teaching teams effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Experience working with diverse teams and multicultural environments.
- Good command of English communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
