Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver effective ESL lessons that meet students’ learning needs and proficiency levels.
- Assess students’ language abilities and monitor their academic progress.
- Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and classroom activities.
- Create a supportive and engaging classroom environment that encourages active participation.
- Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their English proficiency.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and cultural backgrounds.
- Maintain accurate student attendance, assessment, and progress records.
- Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, or school administrators regarding student performance, when applicable.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development programs, and school activities.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and educational standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
- TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or equivalent ESL teaching certification preferred
- 2 (or) 3 years of experience teaching English as a Second Language
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Ability to develop engaging and student-centered lesson plans.
- Understanding of second-language acquisition principles and teaching methodologies.
- Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
