Job Description

Purpose of the Position

The Homeroom Teacher is responsible for creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that supports students' academic, social, emotional, and personal development. The teacher will deliver high-quality lessons, monitor student progress, and work collaboratively with parents and colleagues to ensure every student reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing the Cambridge curriculum effectively to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to students to help them reach their full potential.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum materials and teaching strategies.
  • Assessing student progress regularly and providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Communicating effectively with parents/guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress and any concerns.
  • Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated with best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of teaching experience, preferably in a preschool & primary school setting.
  • Fluency and proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with the Cambridge curriculum is highly desirable.
  • Strong classroom management skills and ability to create a positive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a passion for working with children.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth.
